Shri Amarnath Yatra 2020 Dates and Packages


The Shri Amarnathji Yatra in 2020 begins from July 21 and will have to be undertaken in a "restricted manner" due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Only 500 Yatris will be allowed per day this year. Devotees can also wathc the Live coverage of Aarti and Puja.



Good News for devotees and Yatris who were worried about this years Amarnath Yatra. The Amarnath Yatra may begin from July 21, 2020 this month. The Deputy Governor of Jammu Kashmir GC Murmu worshiped and prayed to Baba Barfani and gave this information.


According to many media reports, this year people aged above 55 years will not be allowed to join the yatra. At the same time, children will not be allowed to participate in this journey. 

There will be screening of devotees at the Jammu base camp. They will undergo Covid-19 test and only Covid-19 negative people will be allowed to proceed for the Amarnath Yatra. 
Furthermore, the devotees except the sadhus will have to register online for Amarnath Yatra 2020.

Government will take all the precautions and safety measures during Yatra. PPE kits and other safety equipment have been provided to the health workers and doctors on the Yatra route.

This time the yatra was supposed to start from June 23, but it has been delayed due to corona infection. This year, the month of Shravan has started from Monday 6 July. 

In the holy cave of Amarnath in Shravan month, there will be aarti in the morning and evening, which the devotees will be able to watch live daily at 6 am and 7 pm.
