Dharamshala-Mcleodganj ropeway is ready - Himachal CM
The much awaited project of Dharamshala city will be ready in 2021. The Dharamshala-Mcleodganj Ropeway project that started few years ago was moving with the snail’s pace. However the people now can see some action as the Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur has instructed the executing agencies to accord priority to tourism projects.
The Dharamshala to Mcleodganj ropeway project will have
18-24 gondolas and the distance will be just over 2 kms.
CM Jai Ram Thakur was presiding over the meeting of the
tourism board. He informed that the aerial ropeway connecting Dharamshala to
Mcleodganj would be completed by June 2021. The government is expected to get
an annual fee of Rs one crore from Dharamshala-Mcleodganj Ropeway project once
it starts functioning.
With the addition of this new attraction, the tourists can
enjoy the serene panoramic views on Dharamshala-Mcleodganj Ropeway. It is also expected to provide some solution to the
traffic problems of McLeodganj during the peak tourist season.
There are other similar ropeway projects in Himachal which
are still under construction and have been delayed. CM want these projects to
be completed soon.

Adi Himani to Chamunda Devi
ropeway in Kangra district
Bhuntar to Bijli Mahadev ropeway Project up in
Kullu district
Sri Anandpur Sahib to Shri Naina Devi ropeway
Project.
