The advantage of paragliding in BIR is its location that serves a very good landing ground and a base for hang gliders and Para Gliders. The launching destination at Bir is Billing which is a perfect place for take off. It is a little meadow situated at an altitude of around 2,400m (8500 Ft) on The Dhauladhar Ranges at a distance of about 14 km from Bir.
