Delhi to Kullu Manali
travel time will be 7 hours – Nitin Gadkari.
But is it really possible to reach
Kullu Manali in 7 hours
There is good news for the travellers across India who loves to visit the
hill stations of Himachal Pradesh. Union Road Transport and Highways Minister
Nitin Gadkari recently laid the Foundation stone and inaugurated various
National Highway Projects in Himachal Pradesh. The minister assured that in next
2 years one can reach Kullu from Delhi in just 7 hours.
“I stand at this place to make a solemn promise;
I will cut down the travel time from Delhi to Kullu to just seven hours in two
years. Two years is an upper limit, you will see this happening before it,” he
announced.
Today if you are travelling from Delhi to Kullu Manali by road, it takes
around 12-13 hours. The road condition is not good and Gadkari want this to
improve so that travellers can enjoy their journey to the hills.
The already proposed Delhi Katra Express highway will give green field
access to Rupnagar or Ropar which will give four-lane connectivity to Kullu.
This will reduce the travel time from present 12 hours to 7 hours.
Delhi to Mcleodganj in less than 7 hours
The same corridor will also help to reduce the travel time from Delhi to Dharamshala.
