Getting Ready For Your Dream Dharamshala Mcleodganj Trip

This is a Practical Guide to Help You Plan Your Himachal Holidays
The first thing that you need to decide before you do any research is the duration of your holidays. How many days you are going to spend in a Mcleodganj Dharamshala depending on your leaves and budget constraints? This is very important as you can decide on places of visit as per your budget and leave focusing only on a specific search on the internet.

Whether it’s a short or long vacation, the first thing you need to freeze is your arrival and departure dates.

Once your dates are finalized, make sure you book your tickets Dharamshala. Mcleodganj is located in Upper Dharamshala and most of the buses from all parts of Delhi Punjab Haryana, Jammu will go up to ISBT Dharamshala. There are number of frequent buses available from Dharamshala to Mcleodganj including shares taxis. Bus Tickets to Dharamshala can be booked online at the official website of HRTC only. Volvo AC non AC deluxe and semi deluxe buses are available from ISBT Delhi, ISBT Chandigarh, Amritsar, Ludhiana, Pathankot, Jammu, Dehradun and other cities.

Spice Jet and Air India offer daily flights from IGI Delhi to Gaggal Airport Dharamshala. Check for various low Air fare offers to Dharamshala from Delhi. You can get a flight for as low as Rupees 3000 from Delhi Dharamshala during the offer period from the airline.

The nearest Broad Guage Railway station from Dharamshala is Pathankot and Chakki Bank. Both stations are part of Pathankot. Dharamshala is about 80 kms from Pathankot and frequent buses are available from Pathankot to Dharamshala. You can also get a shared Taxi from outside station at a reasonable price. However if you want to enjoy the Toy Train you can travel from Pathankot till Kangra Mandir from where Dharamshala is about 22 Kms. The trains take around 5 hours to cover this distance but the bus will take only 3 hours to reach Dharamshala from Pathankot.

Tourists from various cities of Punjab like Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Amritsar, Ferozpur, Patiala,Pathankot, Gurdaspur, etc, Chandigarh, Jammu, Ambala, can reach Dharamshala by bus. This is the best option because the distance is less and you do not have to change transport after getting down from train. You will reach there in less than 7 hours.

From Delhi you have all the three options, Bus Air and Train. Buses take around 10-12 hours to reach Dharamshala from Delhi. Generally the road condition is good in this route so you can also drive down. However it is recommended that you go by bus train or air and then hire a taxi if you are not familiar with the driving in hilly areas.

10 Reasons why Organic Holidays should be your next Holiday Choice

Organic Holidays in serene locations of rural India
The urban life is so hectic these days that everyone want a break at frequent intervals to destress and detoxify himself/herself. However it is the compulsion of life that despite yearning for a long break people are not able to fulfill their dreams. The job full of stress and deadlines leave no room for a vacation for an average individual working in metropolitan cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Kolkata, Bangalore, Chennai etc.

You may own your house in the big city, have a car, wearing branded clothes but you are also aware that you are breathing polluted air, eating unhealthy food. Your long and stressful office hours are not helping your body either.

In this day and age of urban fast pace of life people are looking for holidays where they can have a peace of mind, where they can relax and spend some quality time with family, kids and friends. The concept of holidaying is changing in India now. People want to get rid of another fast paced sightseeing tour while holidaying. Why to get up at 6 am in the morning, get ready for a hectic travel from one place to another while on vacation. Why to continue with the same madness and rush while on vacation which is your daily routine at home?

You would definitely like to have a different experience where you get full peace of mind and get the real feel of the place where you are holidaying.

So where would you find such places where you can have a peaceful and unforgettable vacations in India? The nature’s getaway is the perfect escape for you from all the hustle and bustle of city life. The concept of Organic Holidays, Yoga Holidays is fast catching up in India. Your vacation at the secluded locations in the serene rural areas will de-stress and rejuvenate you for sure.

You can stay in a Home Stay, eat organic food grown in local farms, drink purest form of water, and above all breathe the freshest of air during your vacations. The kids can see how farming is being done by farmers and the village culture. You can also indulge in farming and other activities with the villagers which will definitely entice your soul.

1 – Close to the Nature
A holiday close to the nature is truly refreshing. The new generation urban people and kids are not aware of farming. Due to the flat culture in cities the concept of kitchen garden is also finished now. While holidaying in the rural areas you and your kids can actually see how the vegetables and fruits are grown. You can see a variety of vegetable that you use on daily basis like tomatoes, potatoes, onion, garlic, cauliflower, chilies, coriander, mustard, mangoes, litchi, grapes etc. Just imagine how happy your kids will feel when they can feel these vegetables and pluck them with their hands for lunch, dinner or breakfast. The organic food in a vacation is a unique experience and good for health too. You and your kids can walk down to get the purest form of water from the natural stream. What an experience!!

2 – Activities in the lap of nature
You don’t have to get up so stressed in the morning. Take a stroll in the jungles amidst lush green flora or enjoy horse riding. This walk is different from your usual walks in the cities where you are walking in an artificial park with few trees. But here you are walking in a natural park full of lush green trees breathing pure oxygen. The feel of this walk is altogether different from your routine walks in your city.

When was the last time you actually grew something and used that in your day-to-day cooking? Container-grown mint, baby tomatoes and coriander are not on the list. Farm holidays can be a true eye opener for us city folks, who, for the better part of their life are oblivious to how vegetables are grown. The kids are always enthralled with the fact that they get to hand pick their favourite fresh fruits and veggies. Enjoy a truly fresh salad bowl with even fresher herbs as compared to the calorie heavy salad, and even heavier salad dressing options you are used to in the city.

You can also take your family and kids to a villager’s house and watch him milking cows and feeding them. The farmers start working in the fields very early in the morning so just watch them and interact with them and you will learn lot of new things from them.

3- Work in the fields or see the local handicraft and arts in rural areas
Organic Holidays will not only offer you organic food, pure water and oxygen but also help you to learn farming and give you an insight into the local village industry. You can work in the farms with the farmers while holidaying or you can check out and the local industry like pottery, pot making, handicrafts, paintings etc. It is the great way to spend your time with kids and family.

4 - Learning Local recipes from Villagers
What an experience it would be to peep into the kitchen of the local people and see how they cook organic food in the earthen stoves made of mud in their mud houses. The food prepared with local handpicked spices in the clay utensils is delicious and mouthwatering. Enjoy sumptuous meals with your family and kids. The rejuvenation is guaranteed and unlimited

5 – Say no to Whatsapp, Facebook, phone calls
Holidaying in rural areas has one more advantage. The network in such areas is not so strong so your social networking sites may not work properly. It is better to switch off your mobiles and stay away from whatsapp, facebook, phone calls and other social networking for few days.  This is a great way to enjoy your vacation only with your friends or family and kids.

Once you are away from social networking from few days you will understand that your phone is not everything and when back to your city you would not spend as much time with phone as you used to spend before vacation.

6 - Complete peace of mind and relaxation
Instead of your alarm the chirruping of birds will wake you up in the morning. The pleasant voice of different birds will force you to come out of your room and watch them dancing and singing which is so uncommon in your city. You can spend hours in the lush green jungles watching birds and listening to the various sounds of birds and winds. Just take with you your lunch and head towards the serene jungles with your family.

The picnic you would never forget in your life. Just chat and relax and you would be amazed with this lifetime experience.

7 - Quality time with Family and Kids
With no phone, no social networking you would spend your entire time with your family and kids. As compared to routine holidays where you are in rush all the time to see different locations Organic Holidays in rural areas will help you to bond more with your family, kids and friends.

Your old parents will also love such vacations as they can go back to the memory lanes at such places and above all they can spend so much of time with you which is impossible in a city lifestyle.

8 – Getting to know Indian Culture
India is a diverse country with so many states, languages, and different cultures. The best way to see real India is Organic Holidays in the rural India. One can see the vibrant colours of India only in the villages. The kids who study about India’s culture in the books actually never get a chance to see it with their eyes. The concept of Organic Holidays in India will help them to understand what they are reading in the books.

9 – Budget Holidays
Holidays in a main city will cost you too much. The hotels, sightseeing tours, tickets for various locations are too expensive and most of the people from middle class do not afford such expensive holidays. Their kids and family are often denied the fun of a vacation. Moreover the holidays make you more tired as you rush from one place to another for sightseeing. In fact you are so tired when you are back that you feel like taking some more leaves.

What is the sense of such a vacation? Your friends may feel jealous when you share your pics on facebook, instagram etc but ask yourself, are you satisfied and rejuvenated. Not really I am sure.

Staying in the Organic farms, home stays, camping is more economical and rejuvenating and you can have a wonderful vacation with your family.

10- Eat Organic, drink organic, breath organic. Organic Holidays is the best way to see real India
You will never get such kind of air, food or water in your city. However you will get it free of cost while holidaying in organic or rural farms. You may be rich but cannot buy these things in your city.

What are you waiting for? Organic Holidays India will take you to the best locations in India where you can have a perfect holiday. So plan your holidays now at the organic farms, home stays or farm stays.
